Does anyone here know how difficult the bass trombone part for VW 5 is?
A local amateur orchestra is playing it a few weeks from now and need a third trombone and asked me to play with them (there is no tuba part). I have played bass trombone on and off for two years, mainly big band and chorales. My intonation is rather good and my slide technique isn't bad, although I'm not quite ready for the Flight of the bumblebee.
