Mouthpiece Lost

Post by Tubaing »

:( Uggh! I sent my Herco Professional Eb Tuba mouthpiece to get silver plated at Dillon's on 12/23/07 and I checked up on it (since I didn't hear anything from them) on the 12th and they said they never recived it. They told me to track the shipping and thats what I did. USPS told me that it was Delivered on the 24th of December. Will the insurace help me at all? Can I file a claim?

How am I supposed to Keep on TUBAING without a mouthpiece?

One possible solution would be to buy another. I'm just saying....

Losing that Herco was possibly the greatest thing that could have ever happened to you. I'm just sayin' …

If USPS has given you proof of delivery, send it to Dillon's and ask them to check the records and inventory again. The fact that it was supposedly delivered on December 24 raised some questions. This being Christmas Eve, was Dillon's even opn that day? If so, who was accepting deliveries that day? Did you request signature receipt when you sent the package - that should help you. This is no knock on Dillon's: like most businesses, they handle a lot of packages around the holidays and yours may well have been temporarily misplaced.

If you type in your tracking number on the USPS website it'll give you info - if you give the tracking number to Dillon's they can check for themselves.

Also, I'm sorry to hear about your mouthpiece...I hope everything works out in the end.

I didn't have a tracking number either. It was tracked with the label number. I have to call to track it. I'll give them that number.

Unfortunately, they do. By the short hairs.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

They found the mouthpiece and did the plating. And it will be getting sent back soon.

They also gave me a little discount (FREE SHIPPING) :D
