"Nu silver"- anybody know where to find some?

Post by jon112780 »

I looked online for it was not able to find a seller. Oddly enough, some searches on *oogle found some other people on jewelry BBS' also asking where to find it.

This is the stuff that has a small amount of silver in it, and slightly replates when polished (many times over)...

Any info or a product along these lines would be greatly appreciated.

I bought some of this stuff. It actually does work but is thin as you can imagine.

Yup, the stuff is pretty disappointing for band instrument applications. If you need something plated, get it plated at a plating company. They do it for a living, and can do a job that will last.

Crazy Idea: What if this stuff is applied and then lacquered? Did anyone ever try that? I believe it may bring some use.
