Keep Video
http://keepvid.com/
It's a free site and I'm usually leary of getting spyware, or tracking cookies from free sites—but after using their site for about 6 mos, I've not noticed any extra cookies or spyware. They support numerous formats. Just paste the link into the blank, use the pull down to describe what type site you're downloading from. You may have to change the extender for some (like YouTube needs to be 'flv).

Oops, looks like this won't work with Quicktime however.

Re: Technical question
Once the file is fully loaded, you should be able to click the triangle at the right side of the quicktime player and selecte "Save as source."Anonytuba wrote:How can I find the past Army Band Tuba Conference recordings online? Is it possible to then download them to your computer?
Thanks!
If that doesn't work, open the file in your media player of choice. To do this:
1. select "view source" in the browser window
2. search for ".mov"
3. copy the file name, "file_name.mov")
4. close the View Source window and replace the "something.html" at the end of the url with "file_name.mov", e.g.,
replace "http://www.usarmyband.com/Broadcast/2007/01/27/2007_tubaeuphonium_conference_grand_concert.html
with "http://www.usarmyband.com/Broadcast/2007/01/27/GrandConcert.mov
and copy the entire URL
5. Open your media player of choice, select "open URL" and paste in the URL.
6. Save the file to disk.
