Sad news for any fellow Sinfonians from the Alpha Lambda chapter at Illinois Wesleyan University. Was listening on the radio tonight and heard that our house that was called home by sinfonians for close to 70 years experience a fire early this morning that displaced 15 brothers. Hopefully they will be able to rebuild.

That´s too sad. I hope nobody got injured or worse.
I remember a similar thing happen to a German Corps (Rheno-Nicaria, I think it was). The saddest fact being that students got killed in the fire.
This kind of thing certainly is something noone likes to hear about.

While built of brick, plaster and wood, the spirit of these old places lives in the hearts and memories of all who lived there and your shared lives and experiences. That spirit will survive any building.
From the article, there were no injuries reported for which we can all give thanks. My best wishes to all involved.
