Curry mouthpiece rim
Does anyone have a pic of a Curry tuba mouthpiece rim that they can send me? Let me know which model it is. I want to see the contour of the standard rim.

Sorry, I don't have pics, and they wouldn't do any good anyway, as I had to have mine modified. I can tell you the standard Curry rim on my 128D was wide and flat, not as wide as a 24AW, but definitely wider than an 18. I had to have Vladimir @ Dillons recontour mine down to 18 profile so it didn't crowd my chin and ride up on my embouchure.
I got mine on the recommendation of Matt @ Dillons, as I wanted a good, broad deep tone on my 186 to support the band. I really liked the breadth of tone of my Wick 1L I used to have (I gave it to a friend for his Holton 3/4 and the combination sounds great), but needed something that didn't need a 3rd lung and had just a little more definition, especially in the lower register. The Curry D cup did exactly that for me, and works well on rotary horns with the long traditional leadpipe.
Since from your signature it appears you're already using a Geib cup, you might like the Curry D cup, as it is a "hybrid funnel" which seems more like a deep Geib cup, just without quite so much "bounce" to the articulation, having more breadth of tone instead.
I looked up the G5 specs, and if they're the same as your G5B specs -- BTW, what does the "B" stand for? -- then the stock Curry rim should be very similar to your G5. If you're mouthpiece seems a hair large, go with the 128, if you mouthpiece seems a hair small, go with the 130. The throat is a tad smaller. If you're used to really pushing a lot of air through your horn, the Curry may seem a bit tight; but if you're occasionally "running out of air," then it might work for you just fine. If you want a similar tone, Curry makes a Geib as well as the deeper D like mine, and a true Helleberg funnel as well.
