I don't know if it's already been said here, but I'd like to give a shout out to Wesley Jacobs and Dr. Jerry Young, for their new editions of the complete Bordogni solfeggi and Kopprasch 60 etudes, respectively. Just got the books last week and have been enjoying them immensely. Published by Encore Music Publishers. Very, very well done. Nice introductions in both books, and excellent individual etude commentary by Dr. Young in the Kopprasch. If you check out the website, included is a link to a clip of Randy Hawes (bass trombonist with the Detroit Symphony) playing Bordogni #1. NICE.

Kopprasch is why I have decent technique. (these etudes can also be used as slow tone and breath studies, just like the clark etudes can)

Bordogni is why I have any sort of an excuse for a low register.

EVERYONE SHOULD OWN THESE TWO BOOKS. In whatever edition, condition or what have you.

I'm curious as to whether Jacobs and Young have any plans for a Blazhevich book. That seems to me to be the next logical step!

The "trills and things" (aka ornamentation) to which I imagine you are referring are

what make the music more Scottish. If it's not Scottish, it's crrraap!

Does anyone know where you could buy the piano accompaniments for the Bordogni etudes?
