Hi All,
I am interested in possibly buying a Bell model Meinl Weston and was hoping to play one to try out. If anyone in the Minneapolis area owns one and would be willing to let me try it out, please contact me.

I noticed there is a silver one on EBAY that sounds like it would be one to look at. Not sure offhand where it's located. Probably not a horn to take a "flier" on. Although I think it was being listed by a music store.

That was a King "Bill Bell" Symphony Bass listed by Wichita Band Instrument Co. They have a good reputation, and the horn had a decent BIN price of about $1850 or so, but that is not what the OP was looking for (CC M-W rotary horn).

A guy I played in Shrine band with used to have one. I've played it. Good horn. Even intonation across the range. The only thing I found playing it was that as you go low it can get a little grainy if you're not careful due to the smaller bore. Yes, if you can imagine a King 2341 with a German profile bell, and incumbent tone to match, and rotors instead of pistons, that's how it plays, to me, anyway. YMWV.
