Does anyone have any experience with the Besson 3+1 comps and the Willson 3+1 comp EEb's? I am curious what you think of the horns, as I am looking to buy a 3+1 comp EEb. Also any other suggestions are welcome.

Hey belltrouble -- "Minster" is another name for a large church or cathedral, especially one that has or historically had monastery or collegiate connections. So York Minster is just another name for the large cathedral in York, England.

I have played the besson sovereigns, and now play a courtois 181, and actually enjoy the feel of the slightly bigger bore and bigger pistons. I have also had a play on the new Schrieber and Keilworth York tuba. it has a very similar feel to the Bessons, the most important difference being that the lead pipe is not soldered to to the bell, and that is interesting.
