Shawn McKinney

Over two years ago I corresponded in this space with with a Seattle tubist named Shawn McKinney, who, as I recall, used the name "Famous Artists." He was making available recordings of some vintage William Bell material, including the North American premier performance of the Vaughan-Williams concerto. As I was in possession of some interesting material on lp recorded at the Gunnison and Cumberland Forest music camps in the late 60s, I sent four lps to Shawn with the understanding that these would be copied digitally and returned to me. He would also send me the RVW performance, which he did do. However, the records have not been returned to me and inquiries in the past year have not been acknowledged.
I have been very reluctant to make this situation public, as I have no idea what Shawn's situation might be. I also do not think this is generally an appropriate space to vent about personal disputes. However, since this involves a service that has been offered to all of us in this space, I think it is in the interest of others to know about my experience. I am also still hopeful that some means may be found to encourage Shawn to return this material to me. I would be grateful for any assistance that other posters might offer.
