Brian Davis' Euphonium Found

Proving that there can be happy endings every now and again, my euphonium has been recovered.

A DFW metroplex man (probably the thief) was attempting to sell it in the Houston area and was apprehended by a The Woodlands undercover police officer. He is in custody at this time with bail set at $25,000 bond and is charged with a third degree felony. My family and the police were tipped off by a central Texas low brass teacher who spotted the horn on the Houston Craig's List website on Friday. After seeing the ad he then "googled" Hirsbrunner euphonium to do some research on the horn for sale and came across a post on the Tuba-Euphonium discussion board concerning my stolen horn. The good samaritan was able to verify the serial # from the perp on the phone and then alerted police and myself.

I'd like to thank all who showed concern over this matter and to those who forwarded my initial email concerning the theft far and wide into euphonium cyberspace. It is because of the latter that I'm reunited with my baby once again and now have a second chance at properly insuring it.

So......go and play your horn today.... you never know when you'll get another chance.
