Hey all,
I'm looking for a recording of this piece by Claude T. Smith and have come up empty so far. If anyone knows of a recording of this piece, I would love to know about it. Thanks!

I think it's on Steve Seward's "Kansas City Dances" album, but good luck finding THAT.
Was it recorded with the Army Band back in the late 80s maybe?
If I could find my senior recital tape I'd get it to you. It's not that difficult, make it YOUR piece. Really, it's pretty straightforward stuff. I'm not sure if I've ever really seen the published version or not, I got mine from Claude. He added an optional upward scale passage in the Coda, I remember, at least in the MS. What came out in print I just can't tell you.
Accent the first of each grouping in the arrhythmic bars (the 9-8 and 7-8), play with beautiful tone and pitch, and have fun!
Fun piece. I really didn't care for the bandstrated version, personally. (I can safely say I was the 2nd person to perform it with piano.)
