Actually, the 10J could be converted to CC pretty easily. It has a lot of cylindrical tubing after the valve section that would never be missed. Unlike many of the CC conversions I have read about, this would probably be an improvement.

No 3-valve horn is worth $2000, even brand spankin' new, and especially a horn that does not have ready access to slides to pull to get valve combinations in tune.
I resemble that remark, knowing I paid $411 for my Besson, and a couple hundred or so on necessary and elective repairs. I only bought it because it is a comp. And the souzys I've used were either borrowed or on semi-permanent loan and I've had the upper loop of the 1st valve tubing converted to a slide for intonation adjustment.
