CD Release Announcement...

...of the trad quartet I play with. Recorded ol-fashion’ style... to TAPE (no computers!) with really old mics and other old stuff and no re-do’s and the whole deal in one shot. ...recorded at Plan B studios - below some spice factory in downtown Philly.

TIN PAN - Alice McNulty

Tin Pan CD Release, March 22, Brooklyn, NY @Shanghai Mermaid http://www.shanghaimermaid.com (rated PG-13)
...you have to make a reservation.

Here are some excerpts from the CD:

Here is an unedited clip of rehearsal of the band, rehearsing with a guest, for the CD release show, lining up some *special* cues.

The CD should be available on CD Baby etc any time now.

Enjoy...

I love the music you're playing, and that (presumably dress) rehearsal clip was fun!

I gotta tell you Joe, it's refreshing to hear of someone making himself a life in music instead of crying about the lack of well-financed symphony orchestras. Keep on doing what you're doing! And, let us know when the CD is on the market.

Cheers,
Allen

Thanks!

One thing that keeps me going is that a great teacher once told me to "Be grateful for every note you play, as playing the tuba is a great gift"

The CD should be up on CD Baby anytime.

Way to go tubajoe,
Great music! Called for audacious tuba and you had it for us in spades. 8) I could listen to you guys for days on end.
Back in the late 60's we played a joint called " Stork's Tainted Lady' on the Mobile Bay Causeway. They painted live female models with glow paint and had them hootchie cootchie under black lights.
The artist painting them had a fine sense of humor.
He painted a large monster with big huge teeth on a dancer with a chubby stomach. When she hunched forward and back it looked like the monster was chewing.
Try to blow a horn with that going on.
