My first dent removal attempt

I brought this Besson home for spring break to practice on. I had/has a wrinkly bell ( seems that it was dropped sometime in the last 30 years ). I am by no means a professional. I'm just a 16 year old with too much time and curiosity for my own good. I do not have access to any professional dent removing tools so I adapted a technique I used on a 42' Jeep body. It's a rubber mallet and a 65lb sand bag (I used to have a bag of lead shot but it got tossed, it was a bit handier). My dad and I used this method on a Yamaha Sousaphone bell that hit the floor a few months back. Just throwing this out there for fun and constructive criticism :) .

That makes two of us.

Nice work. Are those patches I see on the bell or grooves in the brass?
