southern california brass repair shop?

Post by scottw »

a good friend has recently moved to california (around thousand oaks) and is looking for a good repair shop. problem solved--i can hook him up with tony clements, right? unfortunately, my friend is a trumpet player, and tony does only low brass, apparently. so, my question to the group: where can you recommend in that area that can do high-quality work for a very good trumpet player? kinda off topic, but still brass! thanks in advance. 8)

Someone recommended Pedersen's in Burbank to me a while back but he doesn't do tubas so I couldn't use him. He does a lot of school repair work so he's probably quite busy right now.

I agree that Robb Stewart is the best around. He can do anything you want to your horn at a reasonable price with uncompromised quality. He also has lots of interesting instruments in his shop one can play with.
