Miraphone 1295

Post by DaveH »

I was wondering if anybody had some testimonials in regards to a Miraphone 1295. Are they still being made? I would love to try one if it was in the Texas/Austin Area.

I'm borrowing one at the moment. It has been sitting untouched for at least a couple years and could use some tweaking IMO. Big horn, with a big sound that has a lot of core to it. Projects very well. This particular one suffers on the "agility" portion of the obstacle course, but it has a very nice American-type sound and plays very well in tune. If you're looking for an inexpensive BAT-ish like horn, it's a decent choice.
