Good question. I'd be interested in giving that a listen as well.

In my community Orchestra, the Lake Murray Symphony, I have to go-ahead to add some "oomph" to our 2 double basses (including one high schooler who is learning rapidly) in the New World Symphony. I am reading the bass part down an octave and playing where loud is called for and as feasible on my Eb (boy those low C's take a lot of valves and air!). I am enjoying the challenge of playing low and matching tone and attacks with the basses, between bouts or regretting getting what I asked for. This Ryker part discussed earlier is intriguing, but the links previously cited seem to be dead. Does anyone have the Ryker part available to share?

If Dvorak did not write it, DON'T PLAY IT!

I have just uploaded the Ryker tuba part to Wessex Tubas website, so it will continue to be easily accessible to download.

The part can be downloaded at http://www.wessex-tubas.com/dvorak-tuba-new-world/

This is my version, edited for clarity.
Notice that the triplet in the first passage is with the basses.
Trombones have the same notes but in a different rhythm.

Why the respelling of the 2 last notes of said triplet?

Does anyone have the Jobey Wilson version? Interested in seeing how it compares
