Ever been to a private teacher open house?

I've never been to one but a local band director is inviting me to a "private teacher open house." He didn't give me any details about it in the email he sent me and since he's snail mailing me the official invite, I have no idea what to expect. Have any of you been to one? If so, what was it like for you? If you haven't been to one, what do you think I should expect?
