Tubenetters,
I'm looking for good music for a beginnier to intermediate-level tuba/euphonium quartet. This is a college group made up of some of the less experienced students in the studio.
Something like the Robert King/Bach Chorales for trombone quartet would be great, along with more rhythmic pieces that sound impressive but are not too technically demanding.
Limitations:
-One of the tuba players has never before had lessons, but can make a good sound up to around A in the staff. He is able to read the first couple of pages of Kopprasch and Blazhevich.
-The other tuba player has had some lessons at a communtiy college and can learn to play music comparable to some of the easier Blazhevich etudes.
-The second euphonium player has only had a few lessons and will probably need help with tricky rhythms.
-The first euphonium player and leader is a graduate student who is a good player. He is capable of playing grade 6 music. His job is to teach and lead the group to work on teaching chops.
Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Well, ITEA, through the TubaEuphonium Press, has designated a whole grouping of pieces suitable for younger/less experienced groups.
The link directly to that section is:

Good luck!

My project of issuing Danish hymns in several sets of fully compatible playing scores basically was set up for trombone and tuba quartets.
The highest note in the soprano line is c", the octave above middle C.
Any player will find a score to play from: bass, violin, and alto clefs; parts for instruments in G, C, F, Bb, and Eb.
Music from renaissance through the romantic era. Many different keys. Various meters, some even varying within the single hymn.
The project is planned to evolve around the main church feasts and the main church themes. So far you will find 25 hymns here:

An international hym in 5 different settings:

A US/UK hymn:

A German hymn:

In the rhythmically challenging area you will find "Sat-Maras Polska", but the main problem, a quintuplet, is in the 1st euph part :

There possibly are a few more samples applicable for your group.
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Yo ... 0ensemble/
is wonderful, but may be challenging the high range of your low tubas.
This free music, and a lot, more is available for the approved members of my Yahoo download groups. When you apply for any one of these, you will receive a Welcome-mail. As soon as I have read your reply to that mail, you will get access to all of the groups (please set your Yahoo settings to accept invitations).
