Hi everybody,

I wanted to let you all know that we are working on redesigning our original heavy weight tuba mouthpieces. The plan is to offer all of our original heavy weight tuba mouthpieces, but with a lighter outside contour 8) . The reason we are doing this is that we believe we can make our mouthpieces play, and respond better, with added endurance and comfort. The prices will be the same for the new mouthpieces, and we will still be making our heavy weight mouthpieces but they will be made as ordered, in limited quantities.

We will also be adding a new size mouthpiece based on the Diablo, but with a slightly smaller rim diameter.:D

I will have the new lighter mouthpieces at ITEC in a couple months.

Awesome news!

I met you at TMEA and you polished my Bayamo for me; they're great pieces and I look forward to getting one of the newer models.

euphonium line, too?

Is this a trend that you'll bring into the euphonium product line, too?

I played my private teacher's Caver and thought it was really sweet. I'd like to try a Bayamo or Taku in the current style, though. Hopefully I'll have a job soon and maybe be able to go to ITEC :D

I love my stainless G&W Diablo. I was surprised at the narrowness of the rim but I got used to it.
Do I understand correctly that the rims on the new line of mouthpieces will be narrower than the ones sold today?

The new rims will be slightly wider, and a little more user friendly right out of the box.

If you have other questions feel free to e-mail me at gwmouthpieces AT earthlink.net

Take care
