In January I posted about my community band playing Pictures at an Exhibition . The transcripton was done from the orginial piano piece and not from Ravel's orchestral version. The main Bydlo them was not given to the tuba or euphonium but shared between the trombones and french horns.
For those who might be inetersted in hearing how it turned out you can listen to it here : http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?so ... 646&t=9825 - a well as hear the rest of the concert .
We did not do all the movements to Pictures at an Exhibition due to the level of difficulty and the amount of time we had to work on this. The entire program was a challange for this group, to say the least. But the experience was worth it.

I was hoping to get some feedback about this but since I haven't I'll just ask this one question : Does anyone think the tempo was too fast on Bydlo ?

I can't comment to the "too fast?" question, but I did like the presentation of the piece.

Isn't it marked molto pesante?
