Hey everyone!

Here are a few youtube links to a new piece for solo tuba by James Meador called Six Pack for Solo Tuba being performed by Tim Buzbee, principal tuba of Iceland Symphony. This is some of the most incredible tuba playing I've ever heard...Tim's low register is just unbelievable (check out Mvt. IV called 'Angry'). Mvt. II, 'Discoteque' is pretty awesome too.

Reciprocity is a duet commissioned by Tim and Jessica Buzbee, who plays asst. principal trombone in Iceland Symphony and is a member of Christian Lindberg's Trombone Unit 2000. She plays high, he plays low, and they sound amazing together!

Both of these pieces are available at Warwick Music in UK at www.warwickmusic.com.

Almost forgot to mention that both of these pieces have been recorded by Tim on his debut solo CD. That will come out this summer shortly before the tuba conference in Cincinnati. He will also be performing both pieces at the tuba conference.

He has also recorded Three Furies by James Grant, Stuff also by James Grant, Suite for 4 horns and tuba by Chister Danielson, and something else I don't recall. It sounds amazing!

Wow. What a tremendous player Tim is. I've just been exchanging some communications with him and he seems like a stand-up guy.

If you're reading this, Hi Tim. I'm looking into all the logistics and will be in touch with you soon.

The only thing that Can outmatch Mr. and Mrs. Buzbee's Amazing playing abilities Is the fact that they are some of the kindest, and most down to earth people I have met.

Thanks again for posting the videos!!!

Very nice! The Iceland Symphony's low brass videos on YouTube are awesome, too. It makes me wonder when the symphony is going to start putting out some CDs...
