I've looked on dillions, wwbw, the king website and a host of others, and maybe I'm just not looking in the right place, but I want to get jumbo replacement buttons and caps for my tuba, but I can't seem to find where to get them. Should I just check local places? Or is there some website I'm missing?

Thanks

By "jumbo," do you mean a heavyweight style cap? Or are you just trying to replace missing caps?

The new buttons and caps are like the ones for the Conn 52J - bigger buttons and caps which can accomodate it. Much bigger than the ones they use for 70+ years before those...

You will be able to order them, but you'll have to call - most stores don't list the parts for every horn they can order :-)

And they're not very cheep...

by "jumbo" I mean large diameter buttons. Similar to the ones used on most yamaha horns (YCB 822, 621, YFB 621 ect).

Exactly; I would call Dillons - they can order them, and have a very tight relationship with Conn Selmer as I understand. My shop can get there as well, but there would be a wait for them...

He just got back to me with a price quote, and new caps and buttons will run me under 100. I'm fine with that

A lot depends on the shape of the valve caps. When I bought my Martin Eb, it came with tiny, trumpet sized finger buttons, three caps on four valves. Out of curiousity I tried the caps off a school Yama-321, about twice the diameter. They worked perfectly. I ordered a set (don't remember what they cost, but it wasn't that much) and they are still on it.
