Spent some time this afternoon listening to one of my all-time favorite crooners.... Leon Redbone.... and caught some really great tuba riffs. First is 'Seduced' by Leon with Jim Self on tuba. 2nd in line is Leon's 'Salty Dog' with Big Johnny Dong on tuba. You've gotta give these two tunes a listen.

I always love that name, Big Johnny Dong, a pseudonym for John Dorn, Redbones longtime tuba player and Philadelphia native. Redbone is in class by himself, the tuba playing has always been great!!! Thanks for the memory jog!!!
