Has anybody out there compared the "Old" "Funnel" Wick 1 mouthpiece with the "New" "Heritage" Wick 1 mouthpiece?

I regularly use Wick 3L tuba mouthpieces in an Eb Sovereign & a Willson 3400. I alternate between one of the older "funnel" design & one of the new "Heritage" styles. I can detect no difference at all in tone, intonation, sound level, "feel" or comfort. I have even carried out a blind test with the wife's assistance in order to convince myself that the newer style must be better. Once on the chops I couldn't tell which mp was in the horn. One difference makes me often choose the Heritage. Weight. If you are in the habit of keeping your mp in your trouser or jacket pocket when carrying the horn to rehearsal or a gig, the heritage is a whole lot lighter. It won't put such a big dent in your bell when you drop it either. :D
