Kerfuffle (with mp3 from performance)

Post by imperialbari »

This is an American thing beyond my closer knowledge, but I searched the board for the title word and came up with nothing. Hence I guess it is OK I relate to this very tuba relevant music introduced here:

and heard here:

Klaus Smedegaard Bjerre,

who got the first link from one of the other brass lists

Klaus,
The reason nothing came up in the archives is because "Kerfuffle" is brand spankin' new. I performed in the premiere of Kerfuffle. I played in one of the choirs that was positioned in the audience playing 2nd euph on F tuba. It is a cool tune that can be a really great brass feature at your next band concert (hint hint). It is also an homage to Kenyon Wilson's love of big words. Those that know him know what I'm talking about.
On a serious note, Dr. Wilson is a great teacher. I am wrapping up my undergrad with him right now. He has really done great things in my playing over the last half decade or so that I have been in school, thats right half decade. I recomend that any high schooler in TN who wants to live in TN's greatest city and study with a great teacher to hit him up.
