another mouthpiece thread...

I have put alot of thinking time into mouthpieces. I have been trying to find a narrow rimmed bowl shaped mouthpiece. I currently own the following mouthpieces: PT-88, PT-36, Marcinkewitz H1, Conn Helleberg 7B, Miraphone TU-23, Mirafone C4, Kellyberg plastic. I am playing on a Miraphone 188CC currently.
I realize (now  ) that some, if not most, are good for some/most situations but not the ideal in others. I love the sound of my PT-88. I like the feel of my PT-36. My H1 Mark. has too sharp of inner edge for me. the 7B just doesn't "click". The TU-23 is great but it has just too big of rim for me. I actually really enjoy the feel and sound of my Kellyberg but it rattles in the reciever in the low register. I have been looking at mouthpices for awhile and narrowed it down to a few of intrest:
PT-70
PT-72
Stainless Steel Kellyberg
Milling down of my (old original) C4 (not sure abot re-plating it)
Markinkewitz N4,3,2,1

Sorry if this is the "same old same old" mouthpiece topic

If you are partial to that Kellyberg then the stainless steel Kellyberg would be a good choice. No adjustment when switching back and forth between them.

Last weekend was the first time I've used the stainless steel Kellyberg on a gig and I was very happy with it. It was a 4 hour gig and the mouthpiece felt good all the way through it. I'm finding stainless steel to be just as slick, if not slicker than gold plating and very comfortable to play on. Response is quite good and it was easy to color my sound different ways with it.

So the stainless steel Kellyberg is my new favorite (until the next one).

Have you considered a G & W Churada? Sounds like a good fit from what you say you want and for what seems to work for you.
