The lights dimmed, the sold-out hall grew hushed and out walked the conductor -- shiny, white, 4 feet 3 inches tall.
For a second there I thought Eugene Ormandy was back!

There is a lot that can be said in praise of the robots, but the real thing is just as good, I mean better!

Since it's a robot, if it gives you the hand, do you have to comply?

(or can you just say you did?)

So this thing runs on batteries, doesn't need to eat or sleep, and imitates what it sees.

Our director never sleeps, was once heard to say "I don't eat, there's not enough time in the day," and parrots whatever clinician he sees for a week before he goes back to saying essentially the same thing as before without an original thought added to it. What's the difference?
