Gear?

Post by tubacrow »

This just general question focused on the little things that we use when we are not busy practicing or to assist in our practicing:

Background
I have been playing for over 20 years in every level of our brotherhood, and have used the same gear the past 13 years. The newest tool that I have added to my bag of tricks is the Breathing Gym, and that is only an extension of the techniques I learn as an undergrad. I have recently committed to buy a new F tuba, and while I was in the shop, I wandered beyond my normal path ( the Island with the valve oil (the only area I really feel uptodate on)) I ran across a whole slew of new accessories.

Question
I am wondering want new tools are out to assist in the instruction and practicing of tuba and euphonium?

I notice a new tuba stand that impressed me {the Hercules Tuba Stand}, but I am sure there are many items I have not seen.
Thank you in advance for your time
Yamaha YFB 821 Bobo F
Cerveny/Sanders CC
York and Sons Monster EEb W slide
Cool Winds BBb (it might be a little melty, but still plays)

3/4" or 1" Ball valve for breathing exercises, super cheap, pick it up at Lowe's for a few bucks:
