Looking for Case for old King Tuba

I am looking for a case for an older king BBb tuba. This is the full size model with the detachable bell. It currently has two cases which are in very poor condition. I am searching for one case to put the tuba in so I don't have to take the bell on and off everyday. I think the bell is around 18-19".
Any suggestions?

Check with Sam Gnagey. If he doesn't have any, check with Taylor Music; they sell new and lightly used recording tuba cases.

Thanks. Let me add that this is the upright bell.

We had the detachable upright bell King tubas when I was in high school. They come with two cases: one for the bugle and one for the bell, as much for the overall size issues bloke addresses as well as overall weight and balance of carrying.

Sorry, did not read the original post thoroughly enough. If you're looking for a one case solution, try the larger Pro-Tec gig bag. My King 1240 (same as 2340/1) fit in it with the upright 19" bell attached. I sold this case to another TubeNetter with the same dilemma as you, maybe he will chime in about how it worked out.

I'm looking for a hard case. As for the size I have another horn, a Carl Zeiss BBb, that is just as tall. It has a newer case that fits but the King has a much larger bell.

Will the MTS 1209V not work? Per Ferguson Music website:
"Large 1209V 22" bell, 40"-42" long, incl. Cerveny CCB681-4, Meinl Weston 25, 2155, Miraphone 186, 189, VMI 2103, Jupiter 582, VMI 101, Yamaha YBB641, YCB861, Alexander 163, Musica/Conn Int. 2301. Gronitz PCK will fit if you remove the small accessory box from the inside of the case."
Call Steve Ferguson, or Matt at Dillon's. Matt may have more experience with older Kings and case options...

Thanks. I couldn't find any specs for the MTS cases.

I knew if I kept at it, I could be of some use, heh.

If you are willing to consider another 2-piece case, I have a King Bell and Body case for sale that is in good condition. I am asking $75.00 plus shipping costs to the 48 continental United States.

I'm keeping away from bags because this is for a school. I will feel better if it's in a hard case and I'm looking for one case to simplify daily storage. I'm familiar with the bigger ProTec bag when I played this model in high school and toted it around everywhere. It may eventually come to that. I'm still crossing my fingers for a hard case, though.
