Meister R. Otto Weller was a member of (or his name was used by) the GDR-era conglomerate MIGMA.

I cannot say whether this tuba is in F and CC or in F and BBb, but it is has the same type of architechture as the Alexander model 166 to be seen here (bottom right on the second page:

Alexander Low Brass. From a 1985 catalogue. (441KB)

(You will have to join the Yahoo groups storing the catalogue pages, but the group is free and it is open for all).

Like the American song on Copenhagen:

"Wonderful, wonderful...

My only regret is, that I didn't come up with that one myself! An operation run from a cemetery will end up(?) six feet under, if not spiced a bit with humour.

Joining one of my gallery groups is a process fully automated by Yahoo.

My only involvement after having set up the groups and having uploaded files and photos, is that I get system generated mails, when members join or leave.

And then I of course use the groups extensively for my own reference purposes. For me that is the best way to proof-read the index and the photo captions. I am not the one to claim, that several thousands of photos can be uploaded without typos or other errors

Whenever kind users point my attention to an error of mine, or when I detect errors myself, I strive to correct these errors. If I cannot do that, I delete the entries in question.

Thank you for your posting, as it certainly sports clever traits. Among them the second half of your signature line.
