I'm most impressed that scanning the music seemed to work so well for you. What's your setup?

MTuba could you go into more detail about what software you used to scan the music and convert it into Finale format? I would like to practice some wind ensemble pieces using the same method.

I have been playing around with Smartmusic for the past few days and have had similar problems with their "Intelligent Accompaniment". I think my mic or Smartmusic has problems listening to the lower range. Sometimes notes below low D don't register, register as the wrong pitch, a whole note would register as many eight notes, etc..

I also find the the magic cursor disrupting. My practice sessions are much more enjoyable when after I turn off the cursor and Intelligent Accompaniment.

I am convinced that 90% of the problems with rhythm, tone, intonation, articulation, technique, and overall prowess on the horn are related to air issues.
