York Eb Monster Restoration!

I just started restoring a nice ol' York! So far, I rinsed it out with water and took out some bell dents.
I need some help (ideas) in cleaning it. I think it has been played a lot after smoking because it has the "Rich smokey flavor". How do I remove that?
I'll post some better pictures once I upload them.

I don't know if this will work, but what I would personally try is a vinegar+water combination followed a good cleaning with soapy water. For the soap, I would use Dawn.
If you search the board for vinegar, it should give you an idea of what percentage of water and vinegar you should use.

I tried the vinegar then rinsed it. It helped a little. Then I took my cleaning snake covered in dishsoap and it seems a lot better.
Here are some pictures from before I did any work.
And some more:

So, I've done about 15 minuets of dent removal on the bell and spent about an a little more than an hour polishing it. Here are some pictures of it after doing that:

Did anybody else ever notice how easy these Yorks are to polish?
That was a fun afternoon!

How would I go about freeing up the slides? The High/low slide, 2nd valve, and 1st valve slide is stuck.

Bury it in the ground for six months

My experience has been the that ethanol dissolves tobacco residue pretty well. Get a gallon jug of Everclear or Old Crow and start rinsing.

Do NOT just yank on them!!!!!
Get a small wooden or rawhide mallet, and tap on the outer slide tubing. That may loosen up enough gunk inside to allow movement. If you're into things like flame, you could try heating the outer slide a bit--a BIT, not much--but I really wouldn't recommend it. If you're into taking the thing apart, you have little problem.
Maybe something like Liquid Wrench??

How would I use that... soak the inside and out side of the side?
Thanks
