Hi-
I'll second the kudos for Roger Lewis--he is a great person and is terrific to deal with.

By elephant room were you referring to the personnel (maybe "elephat room" is better, then?) or the sounds produced?
I always thought french horns were capable of more accurate elephant sounds than tubas. Just stick your hand in the bell, hold down 1-3, and trumpet (!) away.

I'll chime in with kudos to Roger as well! John Rider and myself were looking to purchase a new F tuba at work, and Roger came through in a big way! Thank you!
In addition to bringing an entire truckload of tubas, he graciously fixed my crappy bumpers on my personal F tuba while I tooted away on horns. I never knew they sucked so badly until John Rider picked it up and said, "what the hell?" I had those wonderfully springy original MW rubber bumpers on it, and got used to the way the valves bounced. Roger put some really hard rubber on and it made a tremendous difference! I don't suck as badly as I thought!
We did end up purchasing a tuba. (A beautiful Miraphone Firebird) We really appreciate the trip to our work and Roger's willingness to help us out. Roger is a real class act!
Thanks again, Roger! (And your faithful accomplice of who's name I can't recall)

He meant my personal play room at home. Everyone come on over! I have three cats to play with, a big tin of Legos we can dump onto the floor of our sun room, we can all take turns on my five tubas and many other instruments, you can use my AFM Officer password to mess with the website
and we can have cookies and juice boxes! My wife will only yell at us occasionally if we get rowdy. Just do not spill anything… anywhere…

No lie - this is the funniest thing I've heard all week. I know it's only Tuesday...

Hey guys I would like to 2nd the notion. Roger helped me find the Miraphone 1292 that I play today. He didn't try to force the tuba on me but instead told me where I could shop to find the tubas that he didn't have in stock. We spent alot of our time talking about our expericances as tuba players and our lives then we did bussiness. He shipped the tuba to me and I got it in perfect condition the next day. Afterwards he would call from time to time to check and make sure I was enjoying the 1292 that I bought. He treated me more as a friend then a buyer he is not only a great salesman but a great friend. Thanks again Roger for all your help.
