I use it on my raw brass bugle . It will probably do a very good of cleaning the grime and water stains off too .

I find that Flitz works better on silver plate than on brass. It does work on brass, but requires more elbow grease. Smells just like kerosene. Also better on grime than on grim, if you can bear it.
