Thanks, guys. We'll be celebrating a week from Sunday at the Kennedy Center. John Williams will be on the podium. I'll be shedding parts until the downbeat. Should be great fun.

On Wednesday the 23rd, at the U. S. Capitol, Mark Thiele is playing the Arutunian Tuba Concerto. Concert starts at 8:00 pm. Should be great fun.

This Wednesday at the Capitol, and on Thursday, the 17th, at the Sylvan Theater near the Washington Monument, I'm playing with the Marine Dixieland Band. The great fun here is basically a foregone conclusion. Well, okay, I can't speak for the audience, but I'm gonna have fun.

Now that's a happy birthday.

From my experience, when you have fun, the audience will usually have fun as well.
