Carlos,

I don't know much about the Phoenix area, even though I am a mere two hours away (by choice), but I'm betting there isn't much going on there. A much better bet would be Ferguson Music in Los Angeles, another 6 or 7 hours away by car via Interstate 10. What part of Mexico are you in?

Milano Music in Mesa generally has a few horns. I bought my Besson C from Chuck Kerrigan there.

Fact is that there aren't many stores that carry more than one new tuba at a time, fewer by far that will have any real selection of pro-level instruments. Euphoniums are essentially the same story.

Is there another west coast dealer besides Steve Ferguson that has a "real" stock?
Just off the top of my gray but still hairy head, there are only a few in the US that I can think of. Any that I don't mention specifically, please don't take offense but add onto the list, please!~!!!!

Since they're already in the post, Ferguson Music (http://www.hornguys.com" target="_blank" target="_blank) La Crescenta, CA (LA)
Custom Music Corp http://www.custommusiccorp.com" target="_blank" target="_blank Ferndale MI (Detroit)
Tuba Exchange http://www.tubaexhange.com" target="_blank" target="_blank Durham NC (um...Durham)
Woodwind Brasswind http://www.wwbw.com" target="_blank" target="_blank South Bend IN (close enough to Chicago)
Taylor Music http://www.1800usaband.com/" target="_blank" target="_blank South Dakota not a HUGE selection of pro instruments, but just maybe...
TubaDome http://www.tubadome.com/" target="_blank Elkhart IN (again, close enough to Chicago)
Baltimore Brass Company http://www.baltimorebrass.net/" target="_blank" target="_blank Baltimore, MD (duh!)
Dillon Music http://www.dillonmusic.com/" target="_blank" target="_blank Woodbridge NJ (New York CIty)

ok....have at it, everyone. Add your favorite dealer with lots of stock to choose from.

There are MANY who are authorized resellers of instruments, but don't really keep things in stock. I apologize for not listing all of them, but that's a tough list to conjure.

Kolacny Music, in southern Denver, Colorado, is starting to get there. I bought my PT-3 from them, which they had on consignment. They currently have the new Jupiter CC, a Jupiter BBb, a MW 2155 , and a MW 2145 that is currently on loan. Possibly also a used Cerveney CC (not a piggy), and they had a very nice Conn CC that I tried, but they had to send it back after such a long time without being bought. Any in the area, give it a try. Ask for Larry Morris, good guy.
