Teachers in "thumb" of Michigan

Hey -
I'm teaching at Blue Lake right now (and enjoying Falcone proceedings) and I'd like to get some names of teachers to recommend to an 8th grade student from Bad Axe, MI - it's in the "thumb." If you can let me know of any low brass teachers within 30 minutes of there, I'd really appreciate it!
