Trombone stuff on TubeNet

Is it just me, or does anyone else notice a much higher volume of trombone stuff on this forum in the last year or so...for sale items, discussions of trombone lit, trombone audition updates, trombone videos, etc. Perhaps we should consider changing the name of the site?
I don't really care, as I don't have to read those threads. Does anyone else notice the proliferation of "tromboneness" on this forum? Don't trombone players have their own forum somewhere? Are there a bunch of postings about tubas on there? What gives? What's next, violas for sale and discussions about bowings in the Beethoven 5th Symphony?

Wow, Steve...thanks for your intelligent reply, and the inspirational link. I fail to see how asking if anyone else notices more and more trombone stuff on the forum is wimpy or whining, but I'll certainly give your post all the consideration it is due. Thanks again.
Benjamin...thanks for your thoughts. I understand lots of people here double on trombone. I've played a bit of trombone myself, in my undergraduate days. I just don't see why folks would want to discuss trombone issues on a tuba website, unless it is an issue concerning doubling. Again, I don't have a problem with it...I'm just voicing my question about why the amount is increasing.
For those of you who would like to participate in an intelligent discussion...why do you suppose there is so much trombone stuff on here? Is their forum that bad? Do they just wanna "hang" with tuba players, feeling inadequate about themselves? Do any of you post tuba questions or try to sell tubas on sites devoted to other instruments? What do you think?

I don't know why the volume of Trombone related posts is increasing but maybe this forum has enough doublers to make some** of the posts relevant and interesting. I dable in doubling and occaisionally glance at a few t-bone posts. But I am more interested in tuba/euph posts. The for sale forum on this site is an excellent resource for anyone that is trying to sell instruments. I think that a member of this forum that regularly partakes in discussions on tubenet can sell a t-bone or two on here with no real problems or questions asked. On the other hand, I dislike it when people post one time on here and there only post is "what is the value of this instrument" or "this instrument is for sale" or "blah blah tromblah" etc. and I would especially dislike a T-bone player coming on here and posting once and leaving just to sell an insrument or stir the pot about trombone stuff. I can understand where you are coming from and often ask myself the same question, thanks Todd I appreciate this discussion (not sarcastic). Just my two to three cents worth.

Trombone players don't bother me. TubeNet is a happenin' pad, and it is understandable that other instrumentalists would want to join in on all the fun. Lets just hope the vocalists don't find out about how to use the internet...

I have posted one ( I think ) trombone post on here, when I started The bass Trombone. Personally it was just easier for me (knowing several TubeNet members play trombone) to post it on here than join an entirely new site to post one question.

I don't think I have posted a trombone question but I would post it here for two reasons: 1. I have come to respect the answers that a lot of you give here and would be comfortable asking and 2. I have yet to find a good trombone forum. I'm sure that there is one out there but I haven't come across it yet, though I also haven't done a real in-depth search for it either

Good replies, all, and thanks for the insight.
I guess my question came out of curiosity about trombone forums on the web or the lack thereof. I don't have anything against trombone players or tuba/trombone doublers...I accompany the trombone studio here and call most of them good friends.
I really found it surprising some months ago when there were so many posts about orchestral trombone auditions...some of those are still there on the first couple of pages in the "Auditions" section. Does anybody think the trombone activity here is the result of trombone and tuba players working together so closely? If so, why isn't there much (if any) tuba stuff on tromboneforum.org?
Anyway, thanks for the responses. I join the rest of you in welcoming any interested trombonists (or doublers) to this excellent forum.

My bad, I forgot I was one of those asking about the trombone orchestral auditions

I asked for the reasons stated in my post above so I guess I did contribute to the trombone side of things, but if I am remembering correctly I'm pretty sure I put it in the off topic so as not to bother the Tubenet threads
Happy playing all

Perhaps there should be a trombone section

... Though that might be pushing the boundaries a bit.
