Keep it between the Gs, my friend...safe as can be.
An ocassional jaunt up to Bb in the euphs and C in the tubas would probably be ok...I wouldn't hang around up there, though.

Alas, I have a great deal of experience writing for and working with the most average of undergraduate players. Glad I could help.

Todd's right on the money! A dip down to F or E doesn't hurt either...

About 25 feet. 30 or more if you get a running start.

I can't believe it took 6 responses to get the correct answer.

Personally I think you should throw it like the hammer throw. Don't they spin around about 3 times and then let it fly? I'd think you should easily be able to get 50+ feet unless you're using a BAT. Now the euph.......I think I'm going to go to China and test one of theirs in the Olympics and see if I can't break 100 yards....

tubashaman wrote:Tuba undergrads- pedal Eb should be able to be played easily by majors, do these tubaists have F tubas....I would say max out the 4tet at middle C or D, but dont keep the part up there too much, esp if they dont have an F...though you are still buzzing the pitch...
Euph undergrads- E or Eb below the bass clef, if needed a high Bb or C as the peak notes.....
Does this count as the "real" Tubenet?

Any chance of these being available for the public?
