The Canadian Brass originally came out with the Jacobs mouthpiece which was made by Warburton. They went to Kelly to make the mouthpiece and, after a bunch was made, they discovered that they made the wrong mouthpiece. Rather than throwing them away, they called it the Jacobs solo model even though Mr Jacobs never saw this. After that they came up with another Jacobs model, probably the original. All I know is that I got fed up with the whole fiasco and no longer sell the mouthpiece.

I remember reading about that thread in the past Brian, but thanks for bringing it up to my attention. I'm thinking that this Warburton model may be the same. Thanks for the information!!! Anymore would be greatly appreciated.

From what I was told by Mr. Warburton a couple of weeks ago, he has one of Arnold Jacobs' helleberg mouthpieces. He is not allowed to call it the Arnold Jacobs mouthpiece, and i cannot remember the number he gave it. As far as I know, canadian brass used a replica of the Arnold Jacobs mouthpiece.

No, They used one of Mr Jacobs' Hellebergs and duplicated it. Mr Jacobs had some modifications done to the original, such as boring out the throat and a different rim, maybe a bit sharper.
