I went back and re-read the question, well knowing there'd be a clue in there. Hard cases was my first inclination after my first bad guess because tuba players seem willing to spend $XX,XXX on a tuba, then carry it around in a sack. Your clue only clarified what kind of case and the connection to Elvis.

So yeah, I suppose I cheated.

Do not drive in Memphis on August 17, the nutto's come out of the wooworks to hang on the gates at Graceland.

Unfortunately, I was not only in Memphis but had to drive down Elvis Presley Blvd. on August 17. I don't know the town well enough to take an alternate route so I just settled in for the slow pace.

I did come to realize that the people who make the pilgrimage to Graceland think he's going to walk down the drive to say hello. Weird bunch.
