Watch iteaonline.org for updates on the regional conferences to be held in the US in 2009. (mostly in spring '09) (these will be found in events calendar) This year, Paul Budde's Tuphonium conference will also serve as an ITEA regional.
The annual United States Army Band Tuba Euphonium Conference will be January 28-31, 2009.
The Miraphone Academy (a new workshop) will be held at UNC Greensboro, in two sessions--individual and chamber. Both sessions will have components aimed at 1) amateurs and high school aged performers and 2) college/young professionals. Session 1, Individual, June 19-21, will be led by Demondrae Thurman, Joe Murphy, and Dennis AsKew. Session 2, Chamber, June 25-28, will be led by Sotto Voce, Joe Murphy and Denmis AsKew
The International Euphonium Institute, hosted by Adam Frey, is typically in mid-June, although those dates aren't up, yet.
Later in the summer of 09, will be the annual Northwest Big Brass Bash, but I don't currently have exact info on that one yet, either.
Likely there will be another Gene Pokorny set of sessions at the University of Redlands, as well as sessions at Northwestern with Rex Martin (and maybe Gene, too), but again, no exact info, as yet. Also, I would assume sometime in July there will be the Domaine Forget sessions with Roger Bobo, in Canada.
sorry to be vague on some of these, but info will be coming out shortly. These are the ones that normally happen, etc. I'm sure there are many others I'm missing.
Clinics? Workshops?
