I need some help finding a place to get modern linkages for my piggy.
The ones on it now are the older (I think the ones known as "hollow") version, and they're getting a bit too noisy and loose for my liking.
I don't know of a Cerveny distributor in the US ... sooo
Does anyone know where I can get a set of modern mini ball linkages for my piggy?
I'd whip some up myself like Rick Denney explains on his site, but I'm not as tool-savvy as he or any of the repairmen on here are.

I will get a brass repair tech to install them for me.

Dubro linkages would be great, but I don't know if anyone in south Texas would make some for me if I provided the parts. (and some $)

I saw this done and it looked very easy. Any shop could order Cerveny parts for you, though Matt@dillonmusic.com" target="_blank" target="_blank is supposed to be only 30 minutes from Cerveny's American warehouse. I see Dillon Music carries Cerveny. If you have the linkage with the ball and socket, it's a do it yourself job with a small wrench set from Sears, etc. Why don't you send an email with a picture of your linkage system to him or some of the other repairman to get an answer?

While I didn't replace the linkage on a Piggy I owned in the '80s, I did take the entire thing apart and reassembled. No problem at all. Extremely basic tools skills is all that's required.

Maybe I misunderstood the OP. I took it as saying the Piggy had miniball linkage already, and they need replacing. If I did misunderstand, I apologize, and withdraw my claim of simplicity.

I would suggest that you take your Cerveny to either the repairman in Spring, Texas, or to one of a couple of excellent brass repair techs in San Antonio.

Early-on in my career, I thought that linkage that wasn't working perfectly had to be replaced. I rarely replace linkage any more, but repair them, instead. In the equation of rotor smoothness and quietness there are a dozen variables, so I'd suggest having a qualified repairman do a complete servicing of your rotors. The linkage you have is better than you may think it is.

I recently took in a Cerveny compact kaiser CC which had atrociously noisy rotors. During the next few months as I can get to it, I will repair and re-sell this instrument. It will have the original linkage on it, albeit somewhat improved, and will be virtually silent. It can be done, in fact easier than making a new linkage set, and will save the buyer significant money.
