Miraphone wraps

I have been considering the Miraphone 1291 (5VB) and the 191 (same) to be piston and rotary valve versions of the same horn. I have no strong opinion about valve type. Looking at photo's, however, the two models appear to have different tubing wraps. . . and I've also been cautioned that the more modern wraps blow and tune better. Are there distinguishable differences between the same key/valve# 1291 and 191?

I tend to prefer Miraphone sandwiches to wraps....just a bit tastier.
