MTS if it is available to fit your horn. I have one and the only problems I have with it are it scratches easily and sometimes it rolls unsteady. Both issues are not a big deal.

Call the people at a tuba shop (dillon, WWBW, Tuba Exchange, etc) and ask them. These folks are usually very knowledgable and willing to help.

The two or three MTS cases I've owned are better at being pushed than being pulled. The added benefit of pushing it in front of you is you can avoid more collisions with door frames, etc. Make sure you check shipping charges regardless of where or what you buy - the charges on hard cases are crazy, since they are oversized.

There is a new model of MTS case designed for the F tubas that have the 14" to 16.5" bells with a length of about 36". It is the model MTS1204V with a part number of 772834 on the wwbw Web page. It fits the Firebirds, the 2182, the Norwegian Star and other horns of that stature. I believe it is only available at WWBW right now because we worked with MTS on the development of the case. There are 17 in stock right now and it sells for $409.
