This evening I was approached by the director of the community band Iam in, he said he saw somewhere on the internet a group playing Buglers Holiday by Leroy Anderson with 3 tubas playing the lead trumpet parts. If I can find the trumpet part written for tuba we would do it. We have 3 tuba players that can handle it, just need to find the 3 lead trumpet parts.
Sure sounds like fun
PLEASE HELP

We did it in the Colorado Brass Band this past June, but the guys read the parts off of the original Bb trumpet parts playing it on 1 Eb, 1 F, and 1 C tuba. I know that's probably not the help you needed, but that's what I've got with the one time we did it on tubas. It was a lot of fun. Hope it works out for you all.

Wouldn’t Bulgur’s Holiday give a more tasty search?

Burglar’s Holiday might clean out the band room, while Bugler’s Holiday, boring as it sounds, might end up in a fruitful search. Which then would be tasty in its own right.

The mentioning of F and Eb basses leads me to ask whether the tubas play the trio one or two octaves below the trumpet range?

If 3 BBb basses do the solo parts 2 octaves below the original, then it isn’t a matter of transposing, just about using trumpet fingerings.
