WOW, I am TOTALLY without clue. I have talked to 3 people in the past hour who had no idea that Stravinsky wrote a tuba part to a work of this name at this date, nor does Daniels list it in his latest edition of "Orchestral Music". A quick check on Amazon lists NOTHING. I am greatly intriqued. Are we sure this is not a typo or is there a new Stravinsky discovery that hasn't been announced. Fascinating!! AND Vaughn-Williams 6th? How does one get THAT part. The bar has been raised.

Cool. I thought I was losing my mind. Wait, that's already happened.

Just pulled out my Petrouchka (Petrushka) score, version 1911, and the rehearsal numbers mentioned for the audition line up with the standard tuba excerpts.

I would assume its a typo, but then you know what happens when one assumes . . .

sorta makes me feel like Tanglewood might not be worth it...

I believe that there was a cut and paste job from the violin requirements where they obviously copied the wrong Stravinsky piece from that repertoire.

Just an observation and a word to the wise when copying and pasting. Been there - done that.
