Another great competition where Meredian Arts Ensemble got its start is the "Concert Artists Guild" competition. Check it out here:

My quartet Sotto Voce has made the semi-finals here a number of times, but we think they may be a bit too stuffy to allow a tuba quartet to go to finals. Brass Quintet is probably another story. Good luck!!!

The annual North American Brass Band Association (NABBA) competition has a Small Brass Ensemble Competition as one of its features. Ensembles may consist of between 4 and 10 players without conductor.
The 2005 Competition is taking place in St. Charles, IL, a suburb of Chicago.
The 2003 Competition was won by Chicago Brass Band Players, my 10-piece group. Coincidentally, a very fine 10-piece ensemble from James Madison University coached by tubist Kevin Stees won the 2004 NABBA Small Brass Ensemble Competition by one point. Guess who came in second!
